1. Introduction - To initiate any project with D-S-Design, I require a 50% deposit of the total project cost. This deposit is non-refundable and serves as a commitment to securing my services. I begin working on your project upon receipt of this deposit, and it is essential for you to understand the implications of this financial commitment.
2. Cancellation Procedure - If you decide to cancel your project with D-S-Design, please follow the steps outlined in this cancellation policy to ensure a smooth process:
2.1. Notify Me in WritingI require that all cancellations be submitted in writing. You can send your cancellation notice via email to
Project@D-S-Design.com. In your cancellation notice, please include your name, contact information, project details, and the reason for cancellation.
2.2. Cancellation Timeline -Upon receiving your written cancellation notice, I will acknowledge its receipt and confirm the cancellation. Please be aware that the project's cancellation will only be considered official from the date I receive your written notice.
3. Cancellation Charges - 3.1. Non-Refundable Deposit As previously stated, the 50% deposit required to start your project is non-refundable. This deposit is meant to secure my services and compensate for the time and resources I allocate to your project from the moment of initiation.
3.2. Cancellation Fees In addition to the non-refundable deposit, cancellation fees will apply depending on the stage of the project at the time of cancellation. These fees are outlined as follows:
3.2.1. Early Cancellation (Within 14 Days of Project Start)If you cancel your project within 14 days of its initiation, you will be liable for the 50% non-refundable deposit, along with an additional 10% of the total project cost.
3.2.2. Mid-Project Cancellation (Between 15 and 45 Days of Project Start)If you decide to cancel your project after the initial 14 days but within 45 days of its start, you will be responsible for the non-refundable deposit and 50% of the total project cost.
3.2.3. Late Cancellation (Beyond 45 Days of Project Start)Cancellations made after 45 days from the project's initiation will result in you being held accountable for the non-refundable deposit and the full project cost.
3.3. Incomplete Projects In cases where you discontinue contact and cease all communication with D-S-Design without officially canceling the project, it will be considered an incomplete project. Incomplete projects will be charged the full project cost, as I would have already invested time, effort, and resources into the work.
3.4. Cancellation of Maintenance contracts For clients with maintenance contracts who wish to cancel early, the cancellation will be subject to the same non-refundable deposit and cancellation fees as outlined in this policy. Maintenance contracts, once initiated, are non-refundable, and early cancellation will incur the stipulated fees.In addition, please note that early cancellation of a maintenance contract will result in the immediate termination of the contract. Once canceled, maintenance contracts cannot be reinstated, and any remaining services or benefits will cease. Maintenance contract fees are non-refundable, and no refunds will be provided for early termination.
4. Project Termination by D-S-Design - In rare circumstances, D-S-Design reserves the right to terminate a project if the client's actions or inactions prevent the project's successful completion. In such cases, the client will be notified in writing, and any fees paid will be refunded, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
5. Right to Showcase Work - D-S-Design reserves the right to showcase the completed work in our portfolio, on my website, and in promotional materials. I consider our projects to be a reflection of my expertise and capabilities, and featuring them in my portfolio helps me showcase my skills to future clients. If you have concerns regarding the public display of your project, please communicate this with me during the project initiation phase, and I will address it accordingly.
6. References to Terms and Conditions, Cookies Policy, and Privacy Policy - By entering into a project with D-S-Design, you acknowledge that our terms and conditions, cookies policy, and privacy policy apply. These policies govern the use of our website, your interactions with us, and the handling of your personal information. You can review these policies on my website

7. Invoicing and Payment Methods - All invoices will be sent via email to the address you provided during project initiation.Payment can be made using the following methods:- Square invoices, Bank Transfers & PayPal. 8. Late Payment Fees - If payment for services rendered is not received by the due date specified on the invoice, a late payment fee may be applied. Late payment fees will be calculated as 10% of the outstanding invoice amount for each month of the Billing Cycle that the payment remains overdue. These fees are intended to cover administrative costs and the inconvenience caused by late payments.
9. Sickness and Absence - In the event of sickness or unexpected absence on my part, I will make every effort to communicate this with you as soon as possible. Projects may experience delays as a result, but I will work to minimise any disruptions and will keep you informed of any changes to the project timeline.
10. Refunds - for cancellation fees, where applicable, will be processed within 5 days from the official cancellation date. The refund will be issued via the same payment method used for the deposit.
11. Resumption of Projects - Should you decide to resume a project that was previously canceled, you may be subject to additional fees or changes in project scope, depending on the circumstances. Resumption of projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
12. Amendments to the Cancellation Policy- D-S-Design reserves the right to amend this cancellation policy at any time. Any changes made to the policy will be communicated to clients via email or postal mail. It is your responsibility to stay informed about the most current policy.
